Privacy Policy & Compliance

This page explains how Rentify collects, stores, uses, and protects user data, and how the app handles backups, authentication, billing, and user-provided property management information.

1. What Rentify Is

Rentify is a property management app used to manage owners, properties, rent units, tenants, billing, reminders, reports, notes, backups, and maintenance workflows.

2. Information You Provide

  • Owner, property, rent unit, tenant, and billing records
  • Tenant contact information, emergency numbers, and permanent address
  • Owner bank details, UPI details, and PAN details
  • Notes, reminders, maintenance requests, recurring finance entries, and bill history
  • Images such as profile pictures or property/rent unit display pictures

3. Authentication & Identity

Rentify may allow sign-in with Google. When Google sign-in is used, the app may access basic profile information such as your name, email address, and profile image in order to personalize the app experience and support Google-connected features such as Drive backup.

4. Storage & Backup

Rentify stores app data locally on the device. If the user enables backup features, backup files may also be stored in local device storage and/or in the user’s Google Drive, depending on the backup option selected by the user.

  • Local backups may include structured app data and image references or copied assets
  • Google Drive backup is initiated only when the user explicitly connects and uses it
  • Restore actions are initiated by the user

5. Purchases

Rentify may offer Premium features through Google Play Billing. Purchase validation and entitlement state may rely on Google Play purchase information such as product id, order id, purchase token, purchase time, and acknowledgement state.

6. How Data Is Used

  • To operate the property management features inside the app
  • To generate invoices, reports, reminders, and payment history
  • To support backup, restore, and sync-like flows selected by the user
  • To determine Premium access when a Premium purchase exists
  • To improve app stability and maintain expected product behavior

7. Data Sharing

Rentify does not sell personal data. Data may be processed by platform services used by the app, such as Google Sign-In, Google Drive, and Google Play Billing, only when the user chooses to use those features.

8. User Control

  • Users can edit or delete many records directly within the app
  • Users can reset selected app data using the app’s reset tools
  • Users can create, delete, and restore backup files based on available app features
  • Users can disconnect Google features where supported by the app

9. Children

Rentify is not intended for children. It is designed for property management and administrative use.

10. Security

Reasonable efforts are made to protect locally stored information and user-initiated backups. However, no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Changes to This Policy

This page may be updated from time to time to reflect feature, compliance, or operational changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the latest published version.
